Living in Noordhoek South Africa

Living in Noordhoek South Africa is so special that it inspired me to finally realize a project I had on my mind for a long time, namely to create a visually rich and environment oriented website or rather a dynamic blog called “mynoordhoek.com”. It won’t be just any website . . . :)

Living in Noordhoek South Africa

When living in Noordhoek, South Africa, you come across many little creatures that express their Joy of simply Being and certainly never fail to comment on your presence in one or the other way – just as this inquisitive squirrel when I took pictures of Noordhoek Common . . . a typical, idyllic view of graceful horses grazing on rich pastures, surrounded by white ibis… with the dramatic backdrop of the mountains against a deep blue sky.

MyNoordhoek.com

MyNoordhoek.com is mine!

To start such a dedicated project, one of the first steps is to secure the right domain name – in this case: mynoordhoek.com

To be continued. . .

Time to score garden route casino

It is an art to blow the vuvuzela, but Anthony Valentyn from Oudtshoorn showed his delight with his winning on Wednesday by grabbing one of the colourful vuvuzelas on display in the Casino foyer. The fact that the sound produced was a far cry from what it should be, only added to the fun. Joining in the fun were first time winner Marie Meiring from Dana Bay and many time winner Avril du Toit. Time to score promotion was automatically done by computer.

The Garden Route Casino in Mossel Bay has gone virtual. The first draw in the brand new Time to Score promotion on Wednesday was automatically done by the computer, without visitors having to enter their tickets into a bin. Visitors need to print only a single receipt with all their numbers listed. The lucky numbers are randomly picked and displayed on a flat screen for everyone to see. “This is fabulous. Now I can see first hand, because my hearing is not that good” one of the participants said after the first number was drawn.

Guests at Garden Route Casino were welcomed with a display  of vuvuzelas, soccer balls and flags from participating countries.

In the spirit of the World Cup 2010 the Time to Score promotion is built around the soccer theme. In the foyer of the Casino visitors are welcomed by a display of vuvuzelas, soccer balls and flags from the participating countries. Even the now familiar dance duo Robyn Avontuur and Allister Alexander from George were dressed in soccer gear and danced to the tune of “Frankie”.

The time to score promotion will run till 25 August 2010 and guests to Garden Route casino can share in over R1,8 million

The Time to Score promotion will run till 25 August and participants have the opportunity to win a share of over R1,8 million in cash. Every Wednesday cash up to R55 500 can be won in the 13:30 and 21:00 draws.

Create your 3D Logo

Ever wanted to create your own 3D logo? And get one of these Hollywood looks or glow like on Broadway?

Well, it’s possible!

Yorgo Logo

A bit of color, a nice font, a bit of bevel, some light and a shadow and you are in the race. Of course you can choose some more fun colors and textures or even neon light, your imagination is the limit.

Once you have finished your basic design, add some animation to give it this touch of the rotating Big Mac on next corner’s Junk Food kiosk. An axe to rotate around, a .GIF format, a background to drop the shadow on, yeahhh you may even add some music and you are ready to rotate on top of the Empire State Building … or as the case may be on the Eiffel Tower.

Yorgo 3D Logo

As these images may stress my transparent image handler on this site, I have loaded the two images to a separate page HERE.

PS: If you are interested in learning how to create your logo in animated 3D format, just register for the March 2010 Ycademy Seminar and build the most smashing site you have ever owned!

Four campuses across South Africa, UJ, Wits, UCT and UKZN, are gearing up to host thousands of tourists during the month of June for the 2010 Fifa World Cup. Plans have been underway for the last three years across the country, where the university campuses of Johannesburg, Witwatersrand, Cape Town and KwaZulu Natal have undergone extensive infrastructure upgrades for what is hoped will make ideal World Cup bases for large groups of tourists. “It will be a fun-filled World Cup experience that is ideal for groups,” says Mark Hinton, who came up with the accommodation idea.

Daar-us-Sunnah WP Mosque Theme
